Universal charter of the Astrologers, Healers and Clairvoyances

  In 1892, in Greenwich close to London, several hundreds of experts of the occult sciences, come from the whole world, known and unknown, met to speak freely, without sectarianism nor ostracism, their knowledge, in the manner of exerting their art, relationship with their consultants and the public authorities. With the end of this "General assembly of Freemasons", the participants established a "charter" of good control that all the signatories promised themselves to implement and to make respect. Here this document, translated into French, whom we published at the time of his centenary, in 1992:

Article 1

Is Astrologue any person who knows the past, the future and the character another being, thanks to the study of her birth chart. We call healer any person who relieves and cures others with naked hands, by the only capacities of the spirit, of the prayer, of the faith; by the laying on of hands, hypnotism, magnetic fluid, digital handling, the use of the plants and their gasolines; or any other natural method. Is famous Seeing any person who knows the hidden things and predicted the future.

Article 2

An Astrologer, Healer or Indicator avoid making the evil, to use of his gifts or his capacities to dominate or control his next while benefitting from his weakness or his position subordinate.

Article 3

Considering that the gifts of perspicacity, prophecy or cure are a gift of God, an expert absolutely avoids making pay his consultations. All its services free, will be opened with all, rich or poor. The consultant will remain only judge of the amount of the reward or the nature of the gift with which it wishes to honour consulted. Any other approach will wake up mistrust and no naive berné, flown, swindled, will not be able to come to complain not to be prevented.

Article 4

The expert will regard himself as the momentary holder of a capacity which is conferred to him by God and of which it will only use to make the good. He will remain modest in his behavior, respectful laws and will never benefit personal from its gifts.

Article 5

The expert will accept without protesting the insults, persecutions and the judgments which will be worth to him the exercise honest and not involved in its gifts, knowing that it has accounts to return only to God.

Article 6

The expert will prohibit any spirit of revenge, will refuse to answer the blows and the insults which are carried to him while mésusant its occult capacities, or while turning over them against his enemies.

Article 7

The expert will have an exemplary life, a social behavior without reproach, it will help and honour its next. In all circumstances, it will be able reason to keep and will refuse the temptation of the domination, even if the benefits and the fame of its works attract on its person admiration even the idolatry of crowd.

Article 8

The expert prohibits any boastfulness and any publicity. The cure of its consultants, the accuracy of its predictions, its clairvoyances will be its only advertisement and its greater reward.

Article 9

Before times had not just revealed the great secrecy whose us, initiates, let us be the agents, us swearwords to preserve to ourselves the things which must remain hidden, not by spirit of dissimulation or skimped corporatism, but in order to prevent that cheating, malignant or poor spirits do not seize any to denature them.
